Where to start?

Here at Be Love Studio, we welcome beginners to every class.  All classes are "all levels" and our community welcomes new yogis to class every day.  We have several soft classes which are a great way to start, but you can jump right in to any class.  It is normal for newbies to look around and copy their neighbors until they understand the names of poses better.  Let the instructor know you are new, there are modifications for every pose.  Shaking, wobbling, and falling are all part of the process as you learn to connect with your body and your breath more deeply.  Start by taking a look at the schedule, read the class descriptions, each class has an adjective beside it that will tell you the level of difficulty from soft to powerful. Decide what classes will work best for you and just show up, we have mats and props available at no extra charge.  ​Sign up now and give it a try!


Why try yoga?

The physical practice of yoga, although most often associated with stretching, is much more than stretching! Yoga combines all aspects of being: mind, body, and spirit, It offers benefits which can be seen and felt in more ways than one. Yoga reduces stress, calms the nervous system, and increases blood circulation and cardiovascular strength all while strengthening and toning your body.


Do i have to have yoga experience?

No. Just show up!  We call yoga a practice because even yogis with years of experience are constantly learning and growing. Shaking, falling, and taking breaks are all normal and expected. Listen, respect, and honor your body all while giving yourself time out of your day to take care of your body, mind, and soul. 


What should i wear?

Yoga attire is usually tight fitting stretching material for functional reasons. The clothing you wear should comfortably move with your body. Soft stretchable clothing that will breathe and allow you to move freely will work best. The most important thing is that YOU will be here in our growing and loving community!

Tips:

  • ​Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early.

  • Don't eat a large meal before class.

  • Silence or turn off your cell phone while in class.

  • We have a mat for you not extra cost

  • Just show up!
